According to the Daily Mirror's political editor, citing unnamed sources, Labour were said to be backing Cooper amendment to reduce the threat of the chaos of a no deal exit but will try to shorten the time. “The bill could give MPs a temporary window to agree a deal that can bring the country together,” the source was further quoted saying.
