EIA: US total oil demand in May up 1.6% or 318,000 bpd vs. last year at 20.357 mln bpd

  • U.S. Crude oil exports rose to 2.005 mln bpd in May (vs 1.756 mln bpd in April).
  • U.S. Total refined oil product exports fell to 3.357 mln bpd in May (vs 3.691 mln bpd in April).
  • U.S. Distillates fuel exports fell to 1.306 mln bpd in May (vs 1.457 mln bpd in April).
  • U.S. Total oil demand in May up 1.6 pct or 318,000 bpd versus last year at 20.357 mln bpd (vs 2.0 pct rise in April).
  • U.S. May distillates demand up 7.7 pct or 304,000 bpd versus last year at 4.273 mln bpd (vs 9.6 pct rise in April).
  • U.S. May gasoline demand down 0.4 pct or 40,000 bpd versus last year at 9.55 mln bpd (vs 0.7 pct fall in April).
