US: Initial Jobless Claims fell to 358K
FXstreet.com (Edinburgh) -According to the Labour Department, the Americans that filed in their first initial claims for regular state unemployment-insurance benefits fell by 15K last week to a seasonally adjusted 358K in the week ended October 11, below expectations at 335K and coming from 373K in the previous print (revised from 374K).
Continuing claims, which reflect people already receiving benefits, fell by 43K to a seasonally adjusted 2.859 million in the week ended October 4 vs. 2.902 million in the previous week (revised).
